Atkins Introduces Deliciously Different Low-Carb Meals to the Freezer Aisle

DENVER, CO. –December 6, 2012– Low-carb enthusiasts can toss their long shopping lists and put away their pots and pans. Atkins Nutritionals, Inc., a leader in the weight-management category, announced today the launch of Atkins™ Frozen Meals, the first and only line of indulgent low-carb entrées that will be available nationwide beginning January 2013. The nine new, convenient entrées were developed with a focus on exceptional taste and the use of satisfying Atkins-friendly, premium, whole food ingredients like freshly-picked vegetables, real, rich creams and sauces and premium custom meats without any fillers or preservatives.

“For our seven million loyal followers, who enjoy rich, flavorful foods made from scratch, the frozen aisle can feel like a frosty wasteland of unsatisfying, low-fat, low-calorie and high-carb options,” said Scott Parker, chief marketing officer of Atkins Nutritionals, Inc. “The Atkins Frozen Meals line offers Atkins followers, who are accustomed to homemade food and fresh ingredients, a convenient and satisfying solution to help facilitate weight loss.”
