calculator Calculating Net Atkins Count™

  • 7 Tbsp Cream Cheese, original
  • 1/4 cup, shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 3/16 cup, shredded Monterey Cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 240 grams Jalapeno Peppers
  • 6 slice Bacon

Ingredient note: 240 grams of jalapenos is equivalent to 6 (3-4-inch) jalapenos.
  1. Heat air fryer to 390°F.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar, Monterey jack, and chili powder until well combined and evenly distributed.
  3. Slice each jalapeno in half lengthwise. Use a spoon to scoop out the seeds and discard, then fill with cream cheese mix (do not overfill). Slice the bacon in half, and loosely drape a slice of bacon over each filled jalapeno, securing the bacon on the top and bottom with a toothpick or skewer.
  4. Cook, in batches if needed, for 6 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese has melted. Remove from air fryer and serve.

Cooking Tip

How we calculate the Net Atkins Count™

In the Atkins Nutritional Approach®, the Net Atkins Count™ is calculated by subtracting the number of grams of fiber and polyols (such as glycerin and sugar alcohols) from the total grams of carbohydrates in whole foods. This reflects the idea that fiber and polyols minimally impacts blood sugar levels at the doses present in the products.
